Freedom is what we all need in this country, we as Americans must stand up for our rights! Especially our constitutional rights they're trying to dismantle it piece by piece everyday...
i dont think people in general should take anybodys rights away to keep reptiles its wrong please reconsider we love our reptiles to much to have to give them up if u pass the law again please dont let this happen
I support snakes as pets, I've always had snakes since I was a little kid. I'll fight against this ban tooth and nail, it's my right to have snakes as pets.
Horses kill 440 people every 2 years.. Snakes kill ONLY 1 person every 2 years. If that isn't evidence, I don't know what you need. If you wont take away horses, don't take away snakes... Please.
it is wrong to ban pythons the help kill rodents and other animals that we dont want or need
This is America we should be able to choose what we want as pets.
Passing this law would have a huge negative affect on me and my family. Please consider this when deciding on this bill.

Thanks,

Jason Baylin
Why did this rediculous ban even take place???
Please don't ban the reptiles. I have been involved with reptiles my whole life, and such a ban would be devastating . It is yet another loss of freedom for our great nation. Even if everyone does not like reptiles,I beg of you to consider that there are those of us who do care deeply for these creatures, and who take our responsibility as keepers very seriously. Thank You.
cant come and get it it has to be sent to me
Please don't ban the reptiles
the problem is in the everglades...not the rest of the country....please do not pass this bill...like it says, these snakes and reptiles are a 1.4 billion dollar industry.....dont you think we need to try and get out of this recession...i do...
I am a soilder in the united states army and i highly disagree with this ban stop worring about snakes and fix the real problems in this country! There is a reason why I am risking my life for this country along with all the other soilders who serve or who have lost their lives serving and that reason is freedom and to keep the people safe so please dont take away are freedom..
Please don't do this ban! I love buying, selling, breeding etc. snakes don't do this!!
why do want to ban them? idiots!!
One state has issues with one species and a federal ban needs to be put into effect on 4 species with 5 more locked and ready to load into this disgraceful piece of legislation? With this logic cats and dogs and most any other "pet" is at risk. Oh ywah, that is HSUS's and PETAS goal, no pet ownership of any kind...grrr
This is Just one More sad attempt of Big Brother Sticking his Big Nose in
Every Place He can . We don’t need Big Brother Breathing down our necks
Every Minute of our Lives !
One Thing we All Know is the Gov. Has no Clue how to FIX anything,
And with out Messing with Others Livelihoods And Hobbies , Like I have always said
Soon we will Have to ask Big Brother if we can Go to the restroom , Or if we can Breath !
Leave Responsible Pet owners Along Ding-o-Ling’s !!
Penalising the entire pet and enthusiast industry due to a few irresponsible people is not the proper way to handle the problem of invasive species in Florida. That horse already escaped the barn. The problem with invasive species is happening across the globe. Zebra mussels, snakehead fish, and others. Nature will take its course. It's unfortunate, but unless a viable solution is found to remedy these situations, the only other thing that can be done is to pay people to capture the invasive creatures.
STOP THE BAN!
This entire law is based on poor science. And, why are we wasting tax dollars to make national laws relating to a problem in ONE state -- Florida!? The ban is too broad and will affect the livelihoods of thousands of reputable breeders in Ohio alone. This is a multi-million dollar small business that will be wiped out by these unreasonable regulations. Please read the pleas of us who love and care for our non-traditional, reptile pets and veto this bill!
do not eliminiate a group of animals that have been successfuly transformed into pets. If people are releasing snakes in the Everglades then make THAT the crime. The python issue in the Everglades can be cleared up with one good cold snap. I do not understand something else, with an adult Indian python costing $3000 and any decent reticulated python valued at many hundreds of dollars I DOUBT anyone is letting them loose anywhere. Also, an adult boa constrictor also sells for many hundreds of doallrs and can be easily sold online in an afternoon, no one is seeting one of those free in Florida. And WHY is this a national problem when the issue seems to be relegated to Florida. It makes better sense that the plenary police powers of Florida take over and regulate this on the ground in Florida. There are forty nie other states, the majority of which NONE of these constrictors would survive out-of-doors for more than several hours. Do not illegalize something that poses no threat to the other 49 states
This would take our small business away from myself and sons that enjoy their snake business. I wish that congress and the president would reconsider any ban that you would put on these reptiles.
While I may not like, and totally fear snakes. This bill is unreasonable and poorly thoughtout. There are far better things for our corrupt government and special interest groups to be spending money on, other than topics such as this. Leave the snakes and their breeders, owners alone. Worry more about balancing our budget, creating jobs, doing something about the high gas prices, helping people keep their homes and getting OBAMA OUT OF OFFICE!!
Hi, my name is Dakota, I am 14 years old and keep these snakes as a small family business with my dad. I think the government has the wrong ideas about these snakes because it's a rare occasion that they kill humans. We all know that they can't adapt to our weather because if they could they would already be in all of the southern states since this breakout occurred years ago and even now they can't survive the test with the 10 pythons that couldn't stand the winter and died. And plus there would be so many jobs lost, a large unemployment rate, and there would be billions of dollars that the government would loose. Now we all know that we are in deep******with our economy right now so how is losing money going to help us out, it's not! It's been my dream to work with these beautiful creatures and to just keep one but now the government has taken away other peoples dreams that can't experience having one because of this bill. That's all I have to say, and I thank all of you that read this and wants to stop this ban and wants to make other peoples dream come true! -Dakota Garcia (Snakeboy)
Please don't pass this! Boas are pets just like cats and dogs. There is no reason they should be banned.
Don't let stereo-typing end our freedoms!
I own 2 snakes! I have loved them since I was a kid thanks to a teacher I had in school that taught us all about them. I don't think it's fair or right that any pet should be banned. If you are going to ban 1 pet then ban all that would make it fair. Small dogs bite more than big ones. And I haven't heard of any pet snake harming anyone. My kids would be very upset if they had to give up our snakes. Keep it fair and don't take our rights away from us!
Please don't take any our pets. We love them.
This is the stupidest thing ive ever heard its like taking big dogs away from people we love them you cant ban that!!!!!!
Do Not BAN, should be left to people of this country.. you have taken to much from us now as it is!!
